Have you had a baby recently or know someone who has? I have had the privilege of teaching Postnatal yoga for the past 9 years. I am passionate about supporting mamas, and I am thrilled to announce that I will be facilitating a group that will expand upon my regular classes!
Postnatal Mama's Circle will meet for 4 sessions beginning on February 4 at Yoga Yoga Northwest (12001 Burnet Road Austin, TX 78758) from 12:00-1:30. Attend by yourself or with your baby. Attend one or attend all four! We intend to offer this series regularly. $79 or $25 drop in.
The postpartum period is a joyful yet vulnerable time in a mama's life. Postnatal Mama's Circle will provide an empowering community of women a safe space to express thoughts and feelings. During the series, we will explore visualizations, meditation, yoga practice, and postpartum topics such as navigating the many feelings of motherhood, self care strategies, how to reframe our thoughts, breastfeeding, babywearing, and baby massage. Mamas will have time for self reflection, tuning in to their intuition, and bonding with their babies. Mamas will also learn coping skills to navigate the monumental shift into motherhood. Join us to connect with other mothers, and to embrace motherhood surrounded by support! Babies in their first year of life are welcome.
Each week, we will practice yoga poses and meditations that reflect these themes:
Week 1 - Navigating the many feelings of motherhood
Week 2 - Explore invaluable self care strategies
Week 3 - Mama guilt: How our thoughts lift us up or bring us down
Week 4 - Introduction to baby massage. Breastfeeding support.
